CitizenShipper is looking for drivers able to donate their services to reunite Tyler Keller, who was paralyzed in a vehicle accident in March, and his dog, Addie.
Keller was driving on wet roads in Douglas Pass, CO, when his car plummeted down a cliff, ejecting he and Addie. A motorist found Addie huddled against a guard rail after the accident and the two were able to see each other while Tyler was in the hospital. Tyler and Addie were separated again when he was transported to his home state of Michigan.
Tyler’s family is struggling to deal with mounting medical bills and cannot afford to bring Addie home, so CitizenShipper is looking to its family of drivers to help this young man. The family is also trying to prepare their home for wheelchair accessibility. The 19-year-old was studying welding in college and attending courtesy of a rodeoing scholarship. He followed his three older sisters’ footsteps in the rodeo circuit.
So far, a handful of people and groups have stepped up to help free of charge, including local hockey organization and a kids’ soccer team, but nothing is concrete as of this time.
Please help us reunite Addie and Tyler. Addie is located in Littleton, CO and needs to be delivered to Huron Charter Township, MI, approximately 1264 miles.
